assembly instructions for Regipro prefabricated gypsum blocks

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS FOR PREFABRICATED GYPSUM BLOCKS

Prepare the regipro modules:

  • unpack the modules, remove the foil and protective liners, if necessary, cut the stiffened modules to the required size, you can use a regular saw to do this.
  • sand the edges of the modules using fine sandpaper.

Prepare the work area

  • mark the mounting lines,
  • place the modules against the wall and outline them
  • mark the place for fastening the mounting plates (included in the kit), remember - subtract the thickness of the gypsum board (12.5 mm) from the mounting edge (prepared outline), screw the mounting plates to the wall - for the "curtain walling" modules we use "U"-type plates (screwed from the front with a screw for plasterboard 4.5 cm), for other types of modules we use "L"-type plates, the plates should be mounted on the connections of the modules and on their length at a distance of at least one plate per each side of the development for every 2 m,
  • remember to prime the wall

Mount the modules:

  • place the prepared modules on the wall to ensure that the sheets are correctly fixed,
  • apply gypsum adhesive to the polystyrene core, point by point, every 15 cm,
  • place the module with the adhesive on the tiles, the tile should slide between the panel and the polystyrene core, press down and fit - the gypsum adhesive is flexible,
  • screw the screws on the side of the structure in the places marked earlier so that they go through the mounting plates (screws not included).

Finish the surface:

  • use fleece tape and elastic joint compound at the joint between the modules plasterboard
  • the surface of the module can be finished as you wish: paint, textured plaster, wallpaper or tiles.

Tricks & tips

Joining modules:

  • sand the joint edges with sandpaper,
  • attach mounting plates to one of the modules,
  • prime the edges of the modules,
  • apply foam adhesive to edges of modules (on polystyrene core),
  • press the modules together, align them vertically/horizontally and then screw the sheets together using plasterboard screws,
  • once the foam adhesive has dried, remove any excess with a knife and smooth out with sandpaper,
  • finish the joint with filler and lightly sand the joint once it is completely dry.

Levelling minor irregularities in the surface:

  • method 1: by extending the module on the sheet, up to a maximum of 10 mm,
  • method 2: by sanding down the edges of the module, up to a maximum of 10 mm.
