Column as an element on which the construction rests, is considered as a symbol of longevity. For example, three columns are a symbol used by Freemasonry. They symbolize the principle of three values: wisdom, beauty and strength. Similarly, the Egyptian column is seen as part of referring to such concepts as sustainability, and stability.
